Mar. 10, 2009 - Sykes to Receive 'Partner of the Year Award'

Sykes Assistance Services Corporation is pleased to receive an Industry Partner of the Year Award from the Lawson Health Research Institute in London, Ontario on Tuesday March 24th, 2009.   

The award is presented to companies who have gone “above and beyond” in supporting the Lawson Health Research Institute.  Previous award winners include Siemens, Wyeth Ayerst, Bell Canada, Roche Canada, Shoppers Drug Mart, Air Canada and RBC Financial Group / The Royal Bank of Canada Charitable Foundation.  

Sykes Assistance Services currently contributes to a program studying people who are at risk for Diabetes and is looking at the impacts of self monitoring and increased activity levels on the impact of their health.   

The program, which is lead by Robyn Fulkerson, Program Director from London, Ontario, is designed for a Sykes Case Manager to set up patient care plans, monitor ongoing activities and receive alerts if readings are outside of normal expectations.  If readings are outside of normal range, the Sykes Case Manager will notify the appropriate physicians and Lawson Researchers immediately so the individual can receive appropriate care.
