Sykes Assistance Services to Play Active Role at the American Telemedicine Association’s 14th Annual International Meeting and Exposition

Sykes Assistance Services is gearing up for a very active role at this year’s American Telemedicine Association (ATA) annual international meeting and exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada.   

Jim Murphy, Vice President of Business Development and Quality at Sykes will be participating in an Executive Roundtable Discussion geared towards the future of telemedicine from a corporate perspective.  The session “Recent Corporate Expansion into the Telehealth Arena: What the Trend Means for the Industry”, will allow Jim to present many of his insights, thoughts and recommendations from over 25 years in the Healthcare Industry.  The discussion will focus on the steady increase in the acquisition of smaller telehealth companies by large multinational corporations and what this means to the future of the industry.  This session will take place Tuesday April 28th at 1045.   

Jackie Hickey, Director of Business Development at Sykes and active member of the ATA’s Telehealth Nursing Special Interest Group will be participating as Faculty in the delivery of a ½ day short course titled “Telehealth Across the Continuum of Care: Our Past, Present and Future”.   With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Jackie’s range of experience has included emergency services and critical care, education, medical sales and telehealth outreach.  This half-day short course, scheduled for Sunday April 25th at 0800, will highlight four telehealth initiatives that have been established to assist in the management of chronic health problems, and include background, infrastructure, outcomes and cost considerations. 

All conference participants and visitors are also welcome to stop at Sykes Assistance Service’s display booth, located at Exhibit #408 to meet our staff and discuss the future of telemedicine in North America.
