Public Health Services

Uniquely positioned to support Public Health service provider teams

By facilitating access to Public Health programs Sykes Assistance Services can help implement strategies that reach large populations and which also provide those populations with as needed information and referrals into the system. In the past we have facilitated rapid responses to public health emergencies such as SARS, helping the system scale to meet the extraordinary demands of a frightened population while at the same time providing care and comfort to people that reach out to us to be reassured about symptoms or what they have heard on the news. We also provide confidential counsel on sexually transmitted infections providing a trusted source of information for at risk populations.  These services are available 24 hours a day and seven days a week providing a highly effective way for Public Health Agencies to achieve their mandates. We provide services that:

  • Support a single point of contact and entry into the public health system especially during emerging public heath crises
  • Provide information to users regarding identified public health issues such as Avian influenza, West Nile Virus, Rabies, and water contamination
  • Direct users to the most appropriate service provider
  • Identify and create reports on rapidly emerging and evolving public health issues such as water and air quality, communicable infectious diseases, animal and insect borne illness, and environmental contamination.
